Hiring Locums in 6 Easy Steps
Locums staffing isn’t as daunting as it sounds.

All Medical Personnel’s process is simple and involves these six easy steps:

1. Identification of Need

Your territory-specific Business Development Manager will work with you to gather a detailed practice description, including the type of physician, physician assistant, or nurse practitioner required, the start date, the length of the need, the practice details and your budget parameters. The details of the practice help us to identify the best fitting providers!

2. Contingent Agreement

The agreement outlines what you should expect from us as your agency and what we expect from your as our client. We will ask that you review and approve our two page contingent agreement that allows us to discuss your needs with our providers. We are non-exclusive and contingent so you are not obligated to accept one of our providers.

3. Candidate Submission

Now that we understand what you are looking for, our recruiting team engages. We will utilize our extensive database, network of locums and additional resources to locate highly-skilled, pre-screened physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners available to fill your need. CVs and other requested information will be presented for your review.

4. Candidate Interviews

Once you have selected the locum tenens provider(s) you are interested in, we can coordinate interviews with you or your facility, if required. Typically, these interviews occur over the phone and allow you to get to know your locum tenens provider, enabling you to make an informed decision.

5. Candidate Selection

Let us know which provider(s) you would like to move forward with and we will create a Confirmation Letter that details the provider, worksite, dates and rates that you have agreed upon.

6. Credentialing Assistance

If your facility requires credentialing, we have an expert to serve as the liaison between your credentialing department, All Medical Personnel and the locum provider(s) to ensure your organization’s process goes as smoothly as possible and that the provider is privileged to work in your facility on the day you need them to start.

Absent Billing: You may bill Medicare under your regular physician’s NPI as long as the regular physician is not available, the locums is being compensated on a per-diem or fee-for time basis and the leave does not last longer than 60 days. The regular physician can return to work for any period of time to allow a locums physician to return for a new 60 day period. *

Vacant Billing: Medicare allows billing under the departed physicians NPI number by utilizing the Q6 modifier for a period of no more than 60 days. *

Growth Position Billing: If it is a completely new position, you will need to enroll the locums physician with all payers. All Medical Locum Tenens can assist with the necessary paperwork. *
