IRVING, TX | All Medical Personnel, a national leader in healthcare staffing, finished its fifth annual #fightsummerhunger food drive this week with over 11,000 items donated to food banks in Texas and Florida.
“Time and again, our employees have come through for their communities in support of the summer food drive. This year has been no different than the previous four years. Providing nourishment to families and children who need help during the summer is both uplifting and humbling. We are proud to bring awareness to the cause,” said Neil Bernstein, President and CEO of All Medical Personnel.
While most food drives take place during the holiday season, the summer season has an increased number of kids who are home from school. Being home during the summer months increases the need for in-home meals. The summer food drive is a great way to balance the influx of items donated during winter while keeping pantries stocked all year long for those in need.
All Medical Personnel employees donated to the following food banks:
- Feeding South Florida, which is one of several member food banks of Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief charity.
- North Texas Food Bank, the largest North Texas charity and a member of the hunger relief organization.
- Homeless Helping Homeless in Tampa, Florida
The annual #fightsummerhunger initiative not only drives a philanthropic cause but also promotes teamwork and group activities at All Medical Personnel.
