HOLLYWOOD, FL —All Medical Personnel, a national leader in healthcare staffing for more than 20 years, today announced the conclusion of a highly successful food drive that raised more than 3,700 lbs of non-perishible food items for needy families in three Florida and Texas communities.
“We recognize the importance of nutrition to good health, and have made a corporate commitment to help fight hunger in America,” said Neil Bernstein, president. “We conducted our first annual #fightsummerhunger food bank drive in July, because summer is the greatest time of need for impoverished families.”
All Medical’s corporate team members from around the country provided support to three community food banks:
- Feeding South Florida, which is one of 202 member food banks of Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief charity.
- North Texas Food Bank, the largest North Texas charity and a member of the hunger relief organization.
- Lennard High School Food Bank, which serves migrant children and families living in Ruskin, Florida.
“Our goal was to raise awareness about those unable to afford one of the basic necessities of life, while collecting as many non-perishable food items as possible,” said Melissa Matherly, who organized All Medical’s food drive. ‘While giving a can of food may seem like a small gesture, it can change the life of a child or adult, and make a difference in the community.”
