Mobile Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

– Draw blood samples from patients across various age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations – Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures – Explain procedures to patients to create a calming and trusting environment – Maintain accurate records and documentation of collections and test samples – Follow safety protocols and maintain a professional environment – Demonstrate leadership behaviors focused on process excellence and confidentiality – Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties – Support the image and reputation of the organization through positive patient interactions – Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor

Required Skills

– Excellent phlebotomy skills with experience in pediatric and geriatric collections – Ability to work independently with minimal supervision – Strong customer service skills, especially in retail or service environments – Keyboard and data entry skills for documentation purposes – Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Additional Skills & Requirements

– High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred – Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington – Minimum of 6 months experience in phlebotomy required; 1+ years preferred – Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime based on staffing needs – Reliable transportation to the worksite; personal transportation preferred over rideshare or bus – Must be available for scheduled shifts and required to stay for the entire shift; excessive tardiness or absenteeism may lead to termination – Candidate’s commute to the worksite should be within a 20-25 minute window
