Overview

Responsibilities
- Draw blood samples from patients in accordance with established procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing efficiently and accurately.
- Provide coverage at multiple patient service centers, mobile clinics, long-term care facilities, or in-office settings as needed.
- Exhibit leadership behaviors by guiding and mentoring new team members and providing onboarding support for new clients.
- Act as a resource and point of contact for staff onsite, offering feedback to supervisors.
- Work with patients with complex testing needs, demonstrating outstanding phlebotomy skills and customer service.
- Collaborate with various functions such as sales, laboratory testing, IT connectivity, billing, and logistics.
- Handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in phlebotomy, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Competency in keyboard and data entry tasks.
Additional Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, with specific certifications required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- Minimum of five years of phlebotomy experience required.
- Experience in patient service centers, in-office, or long-term care environments preferred.
- Previous retail or service industry customer experience is a plus.
- Keyboard and data entry experience needed for efficient specimen tracking and documentation.
- Ability to work flexible hours and handle multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
