Lab – Phlebotomist

  • Prepare specimens for laboratory testing accurately and efficiently.
  • Explain procedures to patients to create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
  • Maintain precise documentation and records of collected specimens and patient interactions.
  • Uphold a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times.
  • Perform duties independently with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion of daily tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors while emphasizing process excellence and confidentiality.
  • Assist in promoting a positive image of the healthcare organization to patients, clients, and the public.

Required Skills

  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws.
  • Strong customer service skills in a retail or service environment.
  • Keyboard and data entry proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime if needed.

Additional Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
  • Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over 1 year preferred.
  • Must list home city and commute time to the job site (within 20-25 minutes).
  • Candidates currently in school must ensure their schedule does not conflict with shifts.
  • Must be punctual, dependable, and maintain a professional appearance.
