Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws from patients in accordance with established procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, maintaining proper documentation and records.
- Create a trustworthy environment by explaining procedures clearly, fostering patient confidence.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment, adhering to confidentiality and safety standards.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence while working independently and as part of a team.
- Accurately record and manage patient data, and complete required documentation.
- Support organizational goals by providing timely and error-free work, especially in fast-paced settings.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in phlebotomy, with the ability to draw blood accurately and safely from pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Strong organizational and data entry skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills to foster a positive patient experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic keyboard and data entry proficiency.
- Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival and departure from the worksite.
Additional Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience is required; over one year preferred.
- Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must be available to work whenever scheduled, arriving on time and staying for the entire shift.
- Must list home city/commute time to the site within 20-25 minutes on resume.
