Responsibilities
- Perform blood collection procedures efficiently and accurately, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Prepare specimens for lab testing by following established protocols and safety procedures.
- Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures to foster trust and comfort.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of collections and specimen information.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors through process excellence and confidentiality adherence.
- Collaborate closely with team members and support staffing needs, including occasional weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience, with demonstrated proficiency in specimen collection.
- Strong knowledge of phlebotomy techniques, including pediatric and elderly patients.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Solid keyboard and data entry capabilities for accurate documentation.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Nice to Have Skills
- Medical assistant or paramedic background.
- Phlebotomy certification (required in certain states such as California, Nevada, and Washington).
- Previous experience in retail or customer service environments.
Preferred Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of professional phlebotomy experience preferred.

- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Required certifications in phlebotomy (where applicable by state law).
- Ability to lift and position patients as needed and work at standing height for extended periods.
