Responsibilities
- Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures and best practices.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and documentation.
- Explain procedures to patients to foster trust and confidence, creating a safe and comfortable environment.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and patient information.
- Perform specimen collection and processing duties with confidence, adhering to safety and confidentiality standards.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating organizational commitment and professionalism.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times.
- Support the team in providing exceptional customer service to patients, clients, and staff.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Keyboard and data entry proficiency.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
- Flexibility to work Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:30 pm, with rotational Saturdays from 6:30 am to 12:30 pm.
- Availability for weekend, holiday, on-call, and overtime shifts as needed.
- Previous customer service experience in retail or service environments is preferred.
