Lab – Mobile Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

  • Collect blood specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established protocols for safety and accuracy.
  • Draw blood samples in a skillful, safe, and professional manner, ensuring patient comfort and confidence.
  • Verify patient demographic information and label specimens in the presence of the patient to prevent errors.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all specimen collections and maintain accurate records.
  • Travel between multiple locations as needed, adhering to scheduled appointments and being punctual at each site.
  • Create a positive and professional environment that promotes trust with patients and colleagues.
  • Follow all policies and procedures regarding safety, confidentiality, and operational standards.

Required Skills

  • Proven phlebotomy experience of 1-3 years, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Excellent venipuncture skills with a focus on safety and patient comfort.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliable transportation.
  • Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing schedules.

Additional Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • Experience in a patient service center or retail healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
  • Ability to travel between multiple sites, with mileage submit-able for expense reimbursement.
