Lab – Mobile Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

  • Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and-label specimens accurately, ensuring proper identification and safety protocols are followed.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of collected specimens and related records.
  • Create a trusting and professional environment, explaining procedures clearly to patients and addressing any concerns.
  • Travel between multiple sites to provide phlebotomy services as needed, maintaining punctuality and reliability.
  • Adhere to all safety, confidentiality, and organizational policies while performing duties.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in phlebotomy, ideally 1-3 years, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency with data entry and record-keeping.

Additional Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities efficiently and independently.
  • Reliable transportation is essential; being dropped off or using rideshare services does not meet requirements.
  • Recent phlebotomy experience with mobile or outpatient settings strongly preferred.
