Responsibilities

– Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established safety and procedural standards. – Verify patient demographic information and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient to maintain specimen integrity. – Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing in accordance with procedures. – Maintain accurate records and documentation of all specimen collections and patient interactions. – Create a professional, safe, and comfortable environment for patients, demonstrating empathy and trust. – Travel to multiple patient service locations as needed, covering scheduled and last-minute appointments with reliable punctuality. – Adhere to all workplace policies, including safety, dress code, and confidentiality standards. – Demonstrate leadership behaviors and focus on process excellence, contributing positively to team objectives. – Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and supervisors, maintaining superior customer focus and transparency. – Exercise good judgment in decision-making and handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting.

Additional Skills & Requirements

– High school diploma or equivalent required. – Phlebotomy certification preferred; certification is required in California, Nevada, and Washington. – Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus. – 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections, required. – Experience working in a patient service center or healthcare environment is highly preferred. – Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and to travel between multiple sites. – Reliable transportation, with mileage reimbursement for travel. – Ability to work flexible hours and cover multiple locations as needed.
