Responsibilities

• Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures via kiosks or handheld devices.
• Provide a welcoming and reassuring presence, ensuring patients feel comfortable while waiting or during specimen collection.
• Assist with maintaining the waiting area and help with taking breaks when other phlebotomists are unavailable.
• Perform clinical specimen collection and processing following established practices and procedures, demonstrating confidence and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient interactions and specimen collection activities.
• Support the lobby experience coordination by demonstrating organizational skills and promoting a positive image to patients and staff.
• Respond to patient questions and concerns with care and compassion, ensuring a safe and trustworthy environment.
• Assist with specimen processing and related duties as directed by the supervisor.

Required Skills

• High level of customer service skills and experience in client-facing roles such as retail, home health aide, or similar.
• Proven ability to handle patients with care and compassion.
• Strong keyboard and data entry skills for accurate record-keeping.
• Ability to perform specimen collection confidently in both forensic and clinical settings.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service roles, with some phlebotomy experience required, including internships or externships.
• Experience with self-service kiosks and handheld devices preferred.
• Basic knowledge of specimen collection procedures and safety protocols.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including assisting with breaks and staffing shortages.
• Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, organizational commitment, and a positive attitude.
