Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples and other specimens from patients following established protocols
- Greet patients professionally, ensuring they feel comfortable and confident before specimen collection
- Assist with patient check-ins via kiosks or handheld devices, providing guidance and assistance as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures and patient information
- Ensure the safety and confidentiality of patient data and specimens at all times
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment within the clinical setting
- Support team members by covering breaks and assisting in other duties as directed by supervisors
Required Skills
- High level of customer service skills and the ability to handle patients with care and compassion
- Strong communication skills to explain procedures clearly and build trust with patients
- Proficiency in keyboarding and data entry to accurately document specimen collection details
- Ability to perform phlebotomy duties confidently following established procedures
- Basic understanding of specimen processing and clinical practices
Additional Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required, no exceptions
- Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience, such as retail or home health aide roles
- Previous phlebotomy experience required
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work site; candidates within a 20-25 minute commute preferred
- Ability to work flexible shifts, maintain punctuality, and stay for entire scheduled shifts
- Schedule availability must align with shift requirements without conflicts from school or other commitments
