Schedule: Minimum 3 shifts. Physician shifts: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. APP shifts include 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Thursday through Sunday and day shift options on Monday through Wednesday.

Position Overview

• Emergency Medicine physician coverage in a community hospital emergency department
• Annual ED volume: 22,000
• ED beds: 12
• Trauma level: Level III
• Physician coverage: 24 hours
• APP coverage: 10 hours, 4 days per week
• EMR: Epic

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
• Board certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine with 2 years Emergency Medicine experience
• Active Louisiana medical license
• Louisiana controlled substance registration
• DEA with Louisiana address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, 5
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS, BLS
• Case logs for the past 2 years

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Privileging timeframe: 45 to 60 days with a clean file
• Flu vaccination required. Waiver not available.
• EMR training and orientation
