Clinical – Medical Assistant

Responsibilities

– Greet and room patients efficiently and professionally in both front and back office settings
– Schedule appointments and answer phone calls to ensure smooth patient flow
– Take vital signs and record patient information accurately
– Draw blood and administer vaccines as needed in accordance with protocols
– Support clinical staff with additional duties to maintain clinic operations
– Maintain a collaborative relationship with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care

Required Skills

– Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience, including externship
– Strong proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
– Phlebotomy or venipuncture experience required
– Ability to communicate effectively with patients
– Attention to detail in clinical documentation and procedures
– Strong computer skills to navigate digital health records and communication tools

Additional Skills & Requirements

– Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred
– Experience with blood draws and vaccinations
– Ability to work in environments serving patients ages 2 and up
– Onsite dispensing, occupational health services, and workers’ compensation experience preferred
– Any additional licensure, certifications, or provider requirements include DOT certification as applicable
– Schedule typically includes coverage on specific dates with shifts from early morning to late afternoon, including weekends as needed
– Flexibility to work in a team-based staffing model with multiple providers and support staff
