Responsibilities

– Support both front and back office operations, including greeting and rooming patients.
– Schedule appointments and answer phone calls efficiently.
– Take vital signs and assist with clinical procedures such as drawing blood and administering vaccines.
– Provide additional clinical support as needed to ensure seamless patient care.
– Maintain a collaborative relationship with the staff to foster a positive working environment.

Required Skills

– Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience, including externship.
– Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
– Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all clinical tasks.
– Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
– Good computer skills to support daily administrative and clinical functions.

Additional Skills & Requirements

– Medical Assistant Certification is strongly preferred.
– Experience in acute care, primary care, or related healthcare environments preferred, with 2+ years in acute care and 12+ years in primary care including annual physicals and preventative care.
– Familiarity with patient support call centers, lab work, allergy injections, immunizations, travel medicine, and biometric screenings is beneficial.
– Schedule may include shifts around lunchtime, with availability for specific dates and times as listed.
– Open to agency staffing models and flexible to shift needs.
