Schedule: 7:00am-7:00pm, Will be scheduled for 3 days/ week & Every other weekend
Job Description
- Demonstrates knowledge of the Nursing Care Plan (NCP) and Treatment
- Plan as it relates to providing nursing care.
- Participates in quality control monitoring and peer review as assigned.
- Provides care to patients with mental illness, substance abuse, aggressive behavior and/or suicidal tendencies.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the therapeutic communication skills, taking under consideration age-specific competencies and culturally diverse patients.
- Identifies the need for and perform basic care/activities of daily living for patients.
- Assists in care for patients with physical problems and provide basic care for patients requiring Special Precautions, Seclusion, 4-Point Restraints, supportive Protective Restraints; follows policy on meeting patients’ special needs for hygiene, nutrition, toileting, fluids, and ADLs
Qualifications
- Open-Competitive: High school or equivalent diploma
- Successful completion of a one year trainee program for Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, Behavioral/Mental Health Technician or similar background.
- Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism when interacting with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff members.
