Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients, ensuring a welcoming and efficient patient flow
- Schedule appointments and answer phones to coordinate patient care
- Take patient vital signs and document accurately in electronic medical records
- Perform blood draws and venipuncture procedures
- Administer vaccines and other clinical support tasks as needed
- Assist with fee collection and dispensing in the health center
- Maintain a positive relationship with staff and patients to support health education and outreach efforts
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of medical assistant experience, including externship exposure
- Strong proficiency in venipuncture, phlebotomy, and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Excellent attention to detail and effective communication skills with patients
- Strong computer skills and ability to handle administrative tasks
Additional Skills & Requirements
- Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred
- Experience working with patients ages 2 and above
- Validity in performing phlebotomy/venipuncture and fee collection in a clinical setting
- Schedule flexibility within specified hours, including coverage during weekdays
