Responsibilities
– Assist in patient intake, including taking vital signs and medical histories
– Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
– Perform blood draws and collect specimens as needed
– Support providers during patient visits in primary care, occupational health, and acute care
– Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records using eClinicalWorks (eCW)
– Ensure clinical areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
– Follow all safety and infection control protocols
– Coordinate patient flow and facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare providers
Required Skills
– Proven blood drawing skills and proficiency in phlebotomy
– Experience in primary care, occupational health injury care, or acute care settings
– Knowledge of clinical procedures and healthcare best practices
– Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically eCW
– Strong communication skills and ability to support a patient-focused environment
– Ability to multi-task efficiently and maintain a professional demeanor in a busy clinical setting
Additional Skills & Requirements
– CPR or BLS certification highly preferred
– Prior experience in occupational health injury care is a plus
– High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare certifications such as CMA or Medical Assistant certification are advantageous
– Ability to work on scheduled dates including 9/8, 9/9, 9/23, 9/24, 9/25, 10/2, and 10/5
– Flexibility to adapt to varying clinic hours, with shifts scheduled Monday through Friday as per the outlined times
