Required Skills

– Proficiency in phlebotomy techniques, including pediatric and geriatric blood draws.

– Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain procedures clearly.
– Experience with keyboard and data entry tasks related to specimen processing.
– Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Requirements

– High school diploma or equivalent required.
– Phlebotomy certification preferred; in California, Nevada, and Washington, certification is required.
– Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
– Minimum of 6 months of related work experience; more than one year of phlebotomy experience is a plus.
– Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs.
– Good interpersonal skills to ensure patient comfort and safety.
