Responsibilities
- Collect high-quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations
- Prepare and process specimens following established procedures to ensure lab accuracy and safety
- Explain procedures to patients to foster trust and comfort during specimen collection
- Document and maintain accurate records of collections and specimen processing
- Operate within a safe and professional environment, adhering to confidentiality standards
- Perform the required duties independently with minimal supervision
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, clients, and team members
Required Skills
- Ability to perform error-free work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Additional Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required
- One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred
- Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed
