Entry Level Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients upon arrival, answer questions, and provide a welcoming environment with care and compassion
  • Assist with patient check-in procedures using self-service kiosks or handheld tablets
  • Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the waiting area
  • Support phlebotomy team during downtimes by assisting with specimen collection and processing once trained
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and accurate documentation of all interactions and procedures
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area manager
  • Promote a safe, professional, and inviting environment for patients and staff

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience (retail, home health aide, etc.)
  • Proficiency in keyboard/data entry
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle patients with care and compassion
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Additional Skills & Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite within a 20-25 minute commute
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts and demonstrate punctuality; excessive tardiness or absenteeism will not be tolerated
  • Willingness to learn and perform phlebotomy duties once trained, including specimen collection and processing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain professionalism at all times
  • Prior phlebotomy experience is not required; training will be provided for interested candidates
