Entry Level Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients upon arrival and assist them with check-in processes using kiosks or handheld tablets.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the waiting area and draw rooms.
  • Perform phlebotomy procedures, specimen collection, and processing following established practices and protocols.
  • Provide compassionate and professional customer service, creating a trusting environment for patients.
  • Assist with patient breaks and support other staff members as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and patient interactions.
  • Ensure a safe and professional environment in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Support daily operational activities and demonstrate organizational commitment.

Required Skills

  • High level of customer service skills and experience in a client-facing role.
  • Ability to handle patients with care and compassion.
  • Proficiency in keyboard data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong communication skills to explain procedures and foster patient trust.

Additional Skills & Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience in retail, healthcare, or similar fields.
  • Some phlebotomy experience is required, with a focus on specimen collection and processing.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the worksite; candidates within a 20-25 minute commute preferred.
  • Flexibility to work scheduled shifts and support coverage as needed; punctuality is essential.
  • Schedule must accommodate candidate availability without conflicts with school or other commitments if applicable.
