Overview
Join a well-established clinical setting as a Field Laboratory Representative, where you will play a vital role in the collection and handling of urine specimens for laboratory analysis. This position offers consistent scheduling and the opportunity to contribute to important drug testing services in a meaningful way, all while working in a supportive and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of urine specimens
- Collect urine specimens from patients, ensuring proper identification and documentation
- Conduct observed or supervised specimen collections in accordance with departmental policies
- Follow universal precautions and OSHA standards when handling specimens
- Maintain neat, clean, and organized work areas
- Properly label specimens and prepare them for shipment
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and clinic staff to provide compassionate service
- Report low shift volumes or irregularities to supervisors and maintain compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Manage necessary office and processing supplies

Additional Skills & Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Physical activities such as walking, sitting, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and squatting are required
- Experience with specimen collection, healthcare settings, or related fields is preferred
- Schedule: 2 days per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, with shift hours provided monthly
- This is a temporary, ongoing position with no specified end date
