Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical tasks such as patient intake, vital signs, and assisting with examinations within scope of practice.
  • Coordinate with physicians and outside facilities regarding patient care, ensuring clear communication and accurate information exchange.
  • Utilize EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system for charting and documentation, with experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Support the clinic’s value-based care model focused on minimizing hospital admissions and emergency department utilization for complex elderly patients.
  • Ensure timely and efficient patient flow throughout the outpatient primary care clinic.
  • Follow clinic policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of patient safety and service excellence.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary for patient interactions and coordination with medical team members.
  • Strong administrative experience, including scheduling, patient documentation, and communication tasks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
  • Comfortable working with elderly patients in a primary care environment.

Additional Skills & Requirements

  • Valid Washington Medical Assistant Certification (WA MA-C license) required; new grads are welcome.
  • Prior experience with EPIC EHR system is preferred but not required.
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
  • Candidates must have resolved all scheduling restrictions prior to start, including transportation and childcare needs.
  • Local candidates within a 50-mile radius of the clinic preferred; proof of residence required.
  • The role involves working in a primary care outpatient clinic supporting elderly patients, with a focus on team-based, value-driven care.
