Schedule: Day shifts, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (arrival time 6:45 AM)
Position Overview
Provide anesthesia services as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in a hospital setting. Cases include general anesthesia with opportunities across multiple service lines. No call is required.
Clinical Scope Highlights
- Case types may include general, cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, urology, endoscopy, vascular, bariatrics, OB GYN, and plastics
- Pre anesthesia assessment and patient consent verification
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Continuous monitoring and clinical interventions as needed

- MD supervision: Yes
- CRNA to MD ratio: 4 to 1
- MDs may perform their own cases: Yes
Required Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania state license (compact licenses not accepted)
- Current license as a registered professional nurse
- Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia education program
- Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists

- Estimated privileging timeframe: 75 days
