Responsibilities
- Obtain and record vital signs accurately for patients prior to examinations
- Prepare patients for their medical exams, ensuring comfort and readiness
- Gather and document patient history, medications, and allergies in the electronic charting system
- Assist clinical staff with routine procedures and maintain a clean, organized exam environment
- Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinic protocols during patient interactions
Required Skills
- Ability to obtain and record vital signs
- Experience preparing patients for exams and recording medical histories
- Proficiency in clinical documentation and charting, preferably with EPIC
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting
Additional Skills & Requirements
- Certification as a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) is required; candidates with a Medical Assistant-Registered, Phlebotomist, or Hemodialysis Technician certification are not eligible
- Must have at least 6 months of experience working as an MA-C, preferably in an outpatient clinical setting
- Current Washington state license or COMPACT license (if applicable)
- Proof of local residence within 50 miles of Seattle, WA with a valid driver’s license
- Availability to work a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Ability to work consistently in the same clinic location without floating between units
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Reliable transportation and ability to commit to a temporary-to-hire position with potential for permanent placement
