IRVING, TX, January 26, 2017 – Thanks to the generosity of its national employee team, All Medical Personnel recently presented the Dallas Foundation’s “Line of Duty Fund” with a check for $25,216.36. The funds will assist family members of five Dallas officers killed in the line of duty last July.
“We feel privileged to make a contribution to such a worthy cause,” said Neil Bernstein, president, All Medical Personnel, a national leader in healthcare staffing for more than 25 years. “Many of our employees are based right here in North Texas, and those living in other parts of the United States feel a strong connection to Dallas and the DFW area.”
Bernstein presented the check to Sergeant Michael Mata, president of the Dallas Police Association, in a ceremony at the company’s Irving office. “Five Dallas officers lost their lives, and others were injured in the shooting in the downtown Dallas business district,” he said. “The Dallas Foundation has worked to identify the most effective way to distribute the funds raised for our law enforcement officers and their families.”
Sergeant Mata said that trusts have been created to provide for the health, education, maintenance and support of the families of Dallas Police Department Sergeant Michael Smith, Senior Corporal Lorne Ahrens, Officer Michael Krol and Officer Patricio Zamarripa and Dallas Area Rapid Transit Officer Brent Thompson.
Two years ago, All Medical Personnel’s employees wanted to recognize a team member who was fighting cancer and began raising funds on their behalf to donate to the American Cancer Society. Employees participated in a “Summer Jeans Program,” making monthly donations to wear jeans to the office any day of the week. “As summer came to an end, employees wanted to continue the donation program, so we made it an official Company program where our employees pick a different organization to support every 6 months,” Bernstein said. “Employees sign up for a payroll deduction to wear jeans to work every day and our company matches their donations.”
Since the inception of the jeans program, All Medical Personnel’s employees have chosen to donate to the American Cancer Society, The Wounded Warrior Project and The Alzheimer’s Association, contributing more than $100,000 since 2015.
